In-Home Personal Care
For over 15 years, Home & Community Services has been helping adults and children with disabilities, and older adults remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own home.
Home & Community Services provides in-home personal care services to individuals living in Washington, Greene, & Fayette Counties, Pennsylvania.
We provide in-home personal care through several programs:
- Attendant Care
- Community Services Program for People with Physical Disabilities
- Aging Programs
- Special Needs Program for Children and Adolescents
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Private Duty
Services Available May Include:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Feeding
- Incontinence care
- Assistance with maintaining medication schedules
- Meal preparation, planning and shopping
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Transportation
- Help with mobility
Agency Direct Care Employees must meet the following Requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Valid social security number
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Reliable transporation
- Adequate motor vehicle insurance on any vehicle used for work purposes
- Annual health appraisals
- Mantoux TB test
- Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository Criminal Clearance
- Department of Aging - FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Criminal History Clearance, if employee resides outside Pennsylvania or has not been a PA resident for at least 2 years prior to hire
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Motor Vehicle Report
- Complete a 40-hour Orientation Training and Competency requirement
